Nobody really wanted digital ID in the public and Burnham knows it, it's a cost free way to win some support. The oil and gas licenses are also largely popular, even if its for entirely the wrong reasons. Burnham is being criticised as a people pleaser but isn't that largely the point? Laura Kuenssberg needs to be reminded her job is to talk about what Burnham has actually done and hold him to account, not to speculate on how things may go wrong.
