The BBC's coverage has been breathlessly giddy, cheerful and chirpy. Those of us with jobs,who aren't communists and who will have to pay for the coming nightmare might legitimately ask why we have to pay for the propaganda.
It’s a bold move, but I wonder if a reshuffle this early is actually about strategy or just managing internal friction. Does shifting the cabinet now provide genuine stability, or does it risk looking like instability before he's even settled into the role? Interesting to see how this plays out.
BBC claimed earlier today that Burnham had done a good job on dealing with the homeless problem in Manchester. I can tell you from first hand experience that is NOT true.
It says something when Larry the Cat has been more of a symbol of stability for this country than our governments have.
