The Pentagon has identified the two soldiers who died Friday in an Iranian drone attack on a U.S. military base in Jordan. CBS News' Charlie D'Agata has the latest.
Three U.S. soldiers were killed in an Iranian attack that Tehran said was carried out in retaliation for the deaths of seven Iranian children—three girls and four boys—in a strike that Iran attributed to the U.S. military. The incident also occurred amid an escalation that included attacks on infrastructure, including the bombing of six bridges and electrical power facilities.

I don’t understand how they are able to hit them when they have patriots there.. I was statinoned there in Azraq in 2014, I knew those radars weren’t 100% everyone said I was “tripping”. Just never thought this would happen multiple times. Tighten up ADA. Rip to the fallen, and prayers to thier families and battle buddies.
Trump should’ve worn Melania’s jacket — “I really don’t care, do you?” — when he told NewsNation’s Hannah Brandt by phone, after being asked about Iranian officials suspending the memorandum of understanding, “I couldn’t care less.” Because that line is exactly how he treats the Iran war. He struts around pretending it’s over, pretending no U.S. service members died for his lies, pretending his own chaos didn’t drag America into a catastrophe with no plan, no coalition, and no exit. A heartless man acting like the war ended simply because he’s bored of it.
Meanwhile, our sons and daughters who are protecting this country are dying because of Trump’s lies. During the Iran war, Trump spent millions on a UFC event, the NBA Finals Game 2, the FIFA World Cup finals, and endless golfing. He’s spending more time forgetting about the war than planning how to end it — more time escaping the disaster than confronting the consequences of the one he created.
I'm a veteran and my heart breaks for the families and units of LT Feehan and PVT Gonzales 😢
Nothing I have see or heard from the administration leads me to believe any of this military activity was necessary, and I very much doubt LT Feehan or PVT Gonzales would've been in favor of retaliation in their name that kills civilians or destroys the infrastructure necessary to sustain life (desalination plants, for example.) As a former Army SGT, I certainly wouldn't want that.
Losing your life for a bunch of rich people is crazy.
