Rubbish. He'll destroy what's left of British industry. If he wanted to help business and reduce the cost of energy for people he would have opened up drilling in the north sea oil and gas fields and scrapped net zero and the green subsidies we pay to subsidise net zero. Devolution does not work as proved by Scotland and Wales. His polices are school boy ultra hard left socialism, which just does not work in reality.
I hope the Times and their compatriots will conclusively give up batting for Neoliberalism and allow both left and right in this country to move forward.
Does anyone seriously think that devolution of power to the provinces (i.e. the north!) will lead to growth or solve any of our problems? As in Wales? And this man has come in from outside without any mandate whatever.

It's refreshing to hear someone speak about "real hope" rather than just painting a perfect picture. I wonder though, what does he see as the most critical immediate trade-off we'll have to make to actually achieve that cost of living relief?
