What a great interview and insight into what’s happening over there! First of all, thank you! Of course as many in the comments section have spoken up there is a lot more to this but as an American this is incredibly helpful for me to get a basic understanding of what the issues are. It IS indeed a VERY difficult time for any politician and understandably so. I think what’s even troubling is how people don’t want to hear about the long journey and recovery process. Just like here in America the general public would much rather hear about a quick fix and some new ideas even though there’s no basis on if they would actually work or how it would be done.

Also HUGE to see the unrest about the two long term existing parties; this is potentially a glimpse into the US’s future as more and more dems and republicans lose faith in their parties and leadership. Just because another party might show up doesn’t mean that it’s going to solve all of our problems. It’s ridiculous to even think that as a possibility.

Again thank you.

With Dem governors & state legislatures it is possible to finally implement the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) - does NOT require an ammendment.
States could join, with a Dem governor, as Virginia just did ! How it Works: Instead of the local winner receiving all of a State's votes, all citizens votes in that State would be added directly to the national total for each candidate. Currently the NPVIC is at 222 EC votes - need 48 more (i think)
Getting rid of Electoral College via the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact WILL increase participation- because many citizens (>70 million) don't bother to vote when they know that their State is 'red or blue' because they think their vote doesn't count. PLUS A Vote for a National Office is not related to a voters' State of residence!
Wish the Foreign governments & companies would help us get to the finish line on this multi-state project; to prevent 7 voters in a swing state from deciding the world's fate! Just need a few more Democrat governors & state legislatures
