As a german i will say - england have a great team ,great single players and tuchel can forge them and theyr great talents even stronger together. I can feel your hurts, wishes ,dreams but pleas be patient one more, you can do it next time ,i never had more faith in it than today, your second star will rise.
The Argentina game was frustrating, not because we lost but the way we lost, especially as Tuchel said after the Croatia game we will play how we want and if we go out at least we played our way, so to me it felt like he wasn't living up to that.
However, he has been great apart from this. Look at Spence for godsake, everyone saying how did he bring him and he was one of our best players in the cup.
I think apart from the second half against Argentina he's been great so hope he stays and be interesting to see what we can do at the Euros especially on home soil.
as a German i became a fan of the English national team during this tournament. after Germany lost i cheered for England as if it was my team. i think before anyone can win the world cup you have to come close a couple of times. i wish you all the best in the futre and i hope you give Tuchel the chance finish this project. England will be a huge force in the years to come!
Look at Arteta at Arsenal. The amount of times they finished second, but each time incremental improvements over the years and they got there. These things take time. England have had a semi-final in 2018, third place 2026, and those two back-to-back European Championships finals in between. We are improving and we WILL get there. I remember the dark days of the "Golden Generation", Croatia beating us in 2008, THAT Iceland game, Germany thrashing us 4-1 in 2010.
Remember FIFA gave Quansah a 2 match ban for his red card. The only 2 match ban in this tournament and actually the only 2 match ban in any world cup since 1998.

Hate him or love him Tuchel did a brilliant job. If he put attackers on against Argentina and we'd lost yous would've been saying 'should've gone 5 at the back like we did against Mexico and Norway' be grateful for what he/we have acheived!
The defence was an absolute mess ... hopefully Colwill and Branthwaite can get themselves fit and firing for the euros and Lewis Hall can kick on at Newcastle crying out for some balance
It was an amazing match, but there was a sense of both teams just giving up on defence. The term glorified friendly gets thrown around… the simple solution is just to make the prize money gap bigger between 3rd and 4th

So when he analysed the Croatia game with the team did he say…. “ look guys on the screen , you went back too deep and let Croatia score…..you can’t afford to do that against the good teams, they will punish you….”. So he’s saying he spotted it , and it’s a problem , but he couldn’t do anything about it. Presumably he was powerless to do anything because it was “ in our DNA “. We need a manager who can aggressively and actively drum it out of our players. The way the team reacted to france coming within a goal again, twice, was what should have happened vs argentina. Wed be playing tonight if we had. The dna comment was made to look even more stupid than it did when he said it
I have to say, apart from the Argentina game, England played without fear. Even after going behind in games. I haven't seen that since Euro 96. So despite us losing the semi, the attitude and response from the team is encouraging. Tuchel deserves credit for this.
Bittersweet way to end the tournament. We capitulated against Argentina but I don't think that's all on Tuchel. They are the world champions, and the players had dropped deep before he ever made subs or gave the instructions. We go again...Euro 2028

Tuchel should have rotated players more during the tournament. The teams he put out were exhausted in the second half against both Norway and Argentina. His unwillingness to use Mainoo for even a single minute was just baffling.
Nobody in England except the ridiculous media thought we would win the World Cup ! absolutely nobody, the reason we’re all so angry is the way we went out, we went out from a position of being in the lead to grovelling in the penalty area, totally pathetic, if we’d gone down fighting it would have been much easier.
And I thought Germans are always negative. After reading the comments, I realized the Brits can compete with them
