It’ll be interesting to see who he brings into the fold. A man is only as good as the people he surrounds himself with, and those cabinet choices will tell us everything we need to know about where he's taking the country. Hope he keeps some common sense in the room.

The Labour Broadcasting Corporation is in full propaganda mode

Crazy how the framing of these discussions are never about the people of this country. They are about parliament or businesses

Same kennel,different dog.
Same tool box, different tool.
Same guy, different glasses.
Same dog, different flea.
Same bin, different rubbish.

People talking about what if's!

After all the time it takes to suck that oil out, it will provide very few barrels in the grand scheme of things. It is a nod to show acquiescence and compliance to the fat oil fascists in America, which you don't want to do.

Its all so exciting, I wonder who will be PM next month.

It feels a bit premature to be talking about cabinet picks before the ink is even dry. While the anticipation is understandable, isn't there a risk that focusing on the "move-in" logistics distracts from the actual policy priorities he needs to hit the ground running with? Curious if this level of hype helps or hinders the transition.

Two sides of the same coin!
@
Labour is a mirror image of the BBC corrupt to the Core.
@
Burnham's big plan is to bring back old Labour. The one that left us bankrupt in the 70's.
@
Something for me something you something a comedy tonight ?
@
How many times did he look down at his notes?
@
He'd better do something big because everyone has had enough of the uni party status quo.
@
Such an interesting discussion thank you

He is kind of grabbing, if not stealing, the MP position from Starmer and the British people without doing any work to earn it by himself.

Wait, imagine the chaos of Burnham as PM. I can't tell if that's the most exciting or terrifying possibility for the country right now. Definitely need to see how he handles the national stage compared to Greater Manchester.

Garbage In, Garbage Out.

As we know, very very few get to those dizzy heights. Think of how his parents must feel.

From a crying baby in the cot - to PM❗😃👍

Those who cannot think or take responsibility for themselves need and clamour for a leader.

Preparing to bring in a property wealth tax to increase tax revenue to the detriment of hard working ppl. But the shock will be when councils then concoct their own extra "council tax bill" for local services.

It’s fascinating to see the behind-the-scenes mechanics of transitioning into Number 10. It reminds me of those deep-dive documentaries on historical leadership shifts—there's always that tension between the public image and the private scramble to pick a cabinet. I wonder if his approach to the cabinet will be radically different from previous PMs?

Welcome everyone! It's wild to think we're just days away from the move into Number 10. I'm really curious to see who ends up in those cabinet positions since he's keeping them under wraps for now. Who do you think will be his most surprising appointment?
@
Well what about this..sell the idea again to the public and explain what's the best plan and why its the best plan because trump just comes over mid inflation and says..By the way the UK is sitting on a load of money lol
@
Like Starmer and his predecessors, Burnham is just another leader with no principles.
@
Preparing for government is easy to say — the test is whether plans survive power
@
He has an impossible job. There is no money. Brexit was and still is a disaster for the UK financially so Russia and other influencers definitely managed to do their damage in a spectacular way, convincing the stupid to vote for their own demise (sound familiar Americans?). There is now a loop of negative financials feeding on themselves started by a dozen years of underinvestment that has left pretty much everything in dire need of improvement with no money to service the needs. He needs to finally take a hard stand on immigration using Italy as an example but no politician in Britain seems to have figured that out. Social services, medical services, and housing were never designed for these pressures. Dangerous times are brewing so he needs to very quickly get the armed forces in good order. I come back to the fact there is no money. Politicians are more interested in social media likes than in actually doing productive work so quality people seem to be lacking. Did I mention there is no money?
