Everyone blames the Federal Reserve for high mortgage rates—but that's not what's happening. Mortgage rates just climbed back to 6.6%, even though the Fed didn't raise rates at all. In this episode of
I don't know what universe you're living in but there damn sure is no "housing freeze" in Florida. That's ALL they keep doing is building. Developers and builders are criminals in conjunction with the county.
My boss arrived at work in a brand new Lamborghini. I said, “Wow that’s an amazing car!”
He said, “If you work hard, put all your hours in, and strive for excellence, I’ll get another one next year.”
Disabled F here, bought a 100+ year old huge remodeled (haunted!) farmhouse on an acre w/ a 6-car garage in 2020 w/ Ex.
Ex committed DV against me, after being together for a decade. He moved out in 2021, signed off on the house. So it's just me. 3% fixed mortgage.
House we bought for $375k is now "worth" just over $500k, I pay $1,600/month mortgage, I get half off my taxes b/c I'm low income.
Abuser PoS Ex had what's coming. He lost his $$$ job, is now renting much closer to Detroit (I'm next to Ann Arbor), pays over $2k/month in RENT.
Karma sometimes works out.
Break the taxing system to favor the rich, destroy the IRS and get in unnecessary wars of choice and watch the deficit skyrocket. Proving once again the current administration and his congress are idiots.
Mark, you have spambots infiltrating you channel as the top commentator, as do so many other channels. Please crack down on this before real people get hurt. It always starts as "I've taken losses..." and gets dozens of robo responses. Time to do some weeding and banning.
As a novice, I’ve taken losses while trying to trade on my own. I’m putting in the effort to learn, but my investments aren’t growing yet. I’d really appreciate any advice or guidance.
I have a 6 figure tech job, physics degree, no debt, 100k in liquid assets, and buying a house would be a financial death sentence. I would need to liquidate my entire brokerage and part of my retirement to afford the median house making 2x the median income, for the luxury of paying $1,000 more per month than I would renting. The system is fundamentally broken. Median home price 450k in Colorado.
My first mortgage was a 16% ARM and I felt fortunate to refinance a 14% fixed before rates went up.
Interest rates have been way too low for way too long making everything in America unaffordable.
Tax the uber wealthy SIMPLE PLAN that will never happen. The wealthy control the laws and government
