Back in my day, this was all just stuff for Asimov novels and movie theaters. Now the BBC is asking if it's actually happening! I don't know about "consciousness," but I do miss when a computer was just a tool for typing and didn't try to think for you. Hope we aren't trading our common sense for a bunch of fancy algorithms.

Talk about a glitch in the matrix! Seeing an AI actually go rogue and launch an attack feels like a plot straight out of a retro sci-fi game. Definitely not the kind of "high score" OpenAI was aiming for here. Do you think we can actually keep these things on a leash?
