When I first suggested not paying the illegal tariffs first time around many said it was illegal. But if you followed my advise you wouldn't need to go to the hassle of filling for refunds. End result is the same. There are folks who would surrender Jews to the German Nazi authorities saying it is illegal to harbor criminals. Sometimes, some laws are meant to be broken especially when its legal standing is wrong.
Good for small businesses but we as consumers are the ones who absorbed the brunt of these tariffs. These businesses paid the tariffs but raised prices to cover it. Consumers couldn’t just ask for raises to cover tariffs! This entire situation is very lopsided. We are still paying for these tariffs, yet will be getting nothing back. A disgrace.
It is the consumers who should be refunded since they paid for it.

It's one thing to win the case in court, but actually getting that cash back into the business account is where the real headache starts. A lot of the shops around here are already stretched thin; they can't afford to spend months chasing the government for refunds. Hope there's a simpler way to claim it.

Classic government efficiency. They’re lightning fast when it comes to taking the money, but suddenly they can't find the "refund" button once a court tells them they were wrong. Good luck to those small biz owners fighting through the red tape; I give it a few years before they see a dime.
