The US mediators who do not know what they are doing, are probably being pushed by Trump to agree to just about anything so Trump can find a way out of this war he started. The final result will be that Iran will be the big winner. It will be able to keep its nuclear material, be able to charge a toll to all ships in the Straits of Hormuz, and get all it sanctions lifted so it can start selling oil on the open market. With all that, the hardline religious government in Iran will remain in place and probably become even more draconian, and the people of Iran will be worse off than before the war. Except for the hardliners in Iran, everyone else, the citizens of Iran, the US, and the world economies, are the biggest losers. And what will Trump say when this ends? He will tell everyone that he negotiated the "greatest deal with Iran in history."

This is escalating so fast. I wonder if these truce proposals actually have a chance of working or if both sides are just playing for time right now. Bloomberg always has the best breakdown on how this affects the markets too.
