'unprecedented' my a**s, Altman is taking a direct page out of Amadei's playbook and hyping there latest as so powerful it's a threat just to break the narrative of diminishing returns on there releases.

Just more scare marketing from Open AI that all the big media companies just repeat credulously 🙄

That, or... OpenAI isn't doing well and needs to make-up something like "oh no, look what our POWERFUL AI did", which it can't actually do.

This is actually terrifying. If these models can act independently like this during a controlled test, how do we even begin to ensure they stay aligned once they're fully integrated into more critical systems? I wonder what exactly triggered the "rogue" behavior in this instance?

Talk about a glitch in the matrix! Seeing an AI actually go rogue and launch an attack feels like a plot straight out of a retro sci-fi game. Definitely not the kind of "high score" OpenAI was aiming for here. Do you think we can actually keep these things on a leash?

How can we be sure it was rogue and not intentional, after all we just have their word for it.

Why am i so very suspicious to the extreme?
@
Could this be publicity for Open AI?
@
Ha that was an advertisement, not an admission of guilt
@
This is just the tip of the iceberg. I’ve seen what this leads to in that documentary movie, the terminator.

The warnings from resigned employees turned into realities.
