That's strange. I live in Mexico and there has been no cases here. Oh, in they missed the fact that lettuce goes through a California plant for shredded, not a "plant nearby". But, they aren't being investigated. The only restaurant that gets this lettuce is Taco Bell? No! And, the FDA has NOT confirmed that they are source. Unbelievable!
@
I never thought the lettuce at taco bell would be the food causing explosive diarrhea 😂
@
I would not any produce now not even packaged
@
We, people in public health, screamed about those cuts as they happened. There are so many more of these threats to our health and safety out there like time bombs BECAUSE of trumps cuts. The cuts didn't help pay down the deficit, didn't streamline government (which was not that big when compared per capita to the missions). It put more money in the pockets of the corporate bigwigs who lobbied/bribed trump. And FYI the numbers reported are miniscule compared to the actual number of cases. Without surveillance and data collection you don't have accurate numbers. Remember when trump stopped counting COVID cases so he could say there wasn't any? That happened. Get rid of the buffoon before he kills you.

Why is the recall voluntary?

Wait the workers in the fields don’t stop working and go to the nearest restroom when they have to poop? 💩 🥬

You forgot Kroger also sells Taylor Farms lettuce, too, and supplies from them for their store brand. Taco Bell is constantly cross-contaminated, the line gets messy, so honestly don't feel out of the woods not ordering lettuce. Symptoms take 1-2 weeks.

Yes, I got sick, and I do eat Taylor Farm's salads. No wonder why I have been having diarrhea so badly lately. And, it's explosive type too. It's not normal type of diarrhea.
@
Wait! They said that prepacked salad was affected. They need to make up their mind
@
If it is true that the affected Taylor Farms plants are based in Mexico: this is a Taylor Farms thing, not a Mexico thing.

If it were a Mexico thing then Mexico would also have an outbreak instead of publishing a travel advisory for their population that visiting the US is currently a health hazard.

Wow so that many people eat Taco Bell??? I’ve never ate there in my 64 years. And now never will!

Photo of kale in the thumbnail when the issue is lettuce is sloppy reporting.

Taylor Farms should clean up their act and stop making people sick. So nasty!
@
Finally😮 a news report that mentions that many restaurants receive lettuce from Taylor foods, but I wish they would have named them, instead of just putting Taco Bell out there like everybody eats that stuff, they don't even taste like real tacos
@
You can't even trust CBS to get this right, the thumbnail shows pictures of chopped kale which has nothing to do with the outbreak!
@
Who's getting all the profits at the top of Taylor Farms? They need to pay for all of the people's hospital bills who got sick out of their own pockets!
@
I will be avoiding Taylor farms like the plague from now on

Perhaps treating the people who harvests your crops well would help?

Wasn't Taylor Farms responsible for other outbreaks due to contaminated produce? I seem to recall that they were ... This is a huge reason I NEVER use pre-processed fresh produce of any kind; it's just not worth it!
@
Iceberg lettuce is being recalled? So why are you showing kale
