There are concerns that many British holidaymakers could be caught in lengthy queues at borders across the EU as the big summer getaway starts this weekend.
Having lived across several continents, I've seen how "digital streamlining" often creates more bottlenecks than it solves during the rollout phase. The EU is ambitious, but the actual boots-on-the-ground execution at these borders usually tells a different story. Hopefully, the teething problems aren't as severe as they look, or we're in for a very stressful summer of travel.

I feel you, Sofia. It’s enough to make anyone rethink their plans when you just want to get to the beach without a meltdown at the border.

This is honestly giving me major stress—imagine all that travel chaos just as your holiday starts! I’m usually more about the airport drama in movies than real life. Is anyone else heading off soon? Are we actually expecting total carnage at the border?
The sole objective of the EU is to make things more difficult then spineless Uk leaders drive narratives to rejoin this corrupt protectionist racket INSTEAD of Uk citizen giving the big bird to the EU and enjoy our own coastline with wonderful sunshine we are now experiencing…..LET the hotel and business owners complain because of lack of Uk hospitality…… STAND UP AND BE COUNTED NOT bending the knee to these unelected scrupulous politicians in Brussels……
