The Trump administration is imposing new tariffs under a forced labor statute as a temporary 10% global tariff expires, covering goods from 60 trading partners, including the European Union and China.
Morning, June. I always find that a cup of tea helps ground me when the news feels this heavy, though I worry about how these costs will trickle down to our local shops.

It’s a complicated world we're living in. I can appreciate the desire to stop forced labor—that's a moral line we shouldn't cross—but I do worry about how these costs eventually trickle down to folks just trying to buy groceries and basic supplies. Hope there's a way to fix the problem without hitting the average pocketbook too hard.

Good morning, everyone. Settling in with my tea and reading through these updates on the new forced labor duties. It feels like a heavy way to start the day, but an important conversation to have. How do you think these changes will impact the things we buy in our daily lives?
