I read about The Flying Tigers about 35 years ago, I know there is an old movie about them, but other than that there's rarely any mention of them. Those who think Japan wasn't given a chance to surrender at the end of WWII need to hear about these events leading up to Japan joining the Axis Powers.
Amazing documentary on the flying Tigers. Loved that the Chinese were with us in WW2 made a big difference in defeating Japan. Maybe someday we will be allies again. Thank you for sharing! 💕👍👊💯
General Chennault retired to Monroe, Louisiana. The University of Louisiana at Monroe change its mascots to the "Warhawks" in his honor, and a micro-brewery named Flying Tiger Brewery opened in downtown Monroe in November 2016.
