Struggling to explain why oil is not at $200 as promised. That is the central Promise, right? Oil “exploded” to $81 today. So change the narrative.

J Street has been a bleeding hearts socialist in the Israeli world. They have no backbone. As was said, gee we should have given them more money. Wake up. You are constantly trying to make a deal. Fly to Iran. Wait for the US to blow them away, and as the bombs drop, you can say Give Peace a Chance. For decades, J Street has been an annoying distraction. Today is no different.

Just get it done. ✔️

Compared to the first phase which relied heavily on cruise missiles, most of the recent US attacks were performed with guided glide bombs. These are far far cheaper weapons. This stage of the war will be drawn out and bloody now that Iran's defenses are fairly degraded. The attacks focusing on bridges in the south are telegraphing a seizure of coastal areas by US amphibious forces. The IRGC would have difficulty reinforcing the area by road or rail. Whether anything telegraphed comes to pass or is a negotiating tactic is anybody's guess.

Agree. Cut a deal. Unfortunately the US will need to bribe Iran to stop this mess.

In Bandar Abbas, a newborn lost his mother and one of his hands in the US attacks. Shame on those who wanted sanctions and a military attack on Iran. Shame on those who saw people as a means to achieve power and wealth and as agents of the Mossad, encouraged and called on the nation to commit violence at night. What would the West itself do if a foreign security service and media encouraged its people to commit violence at night?!? What is the difference between those who were killed in January due to the ambition of a few and a newborn who was amputated and deprived of the blessing of his mother? The first group at least took to the streets of their own free will (by mistake or ignorance), but the amputated newborn does not know what the world is like and is condemned to continue with a disability and in a world without a mother!

Trump is learning the hard way what happens when you pick away at a hornets nest rather than clean it all out and put it in the trash. you have to go back....again....and again...and if he doesnt finish the job this time....he is just kicking the can down the road for the next generation to deal with these demons

No fear only hope.

Iran is not capable of returning to a full-on war. The Persians will not fight with the IRGC the Persians want the country back there's more of them than the IRGC regime.

The escalation beyond just military targets is really worrying. It feels like we're sliding toward a full-scale conflict despite the diplomatic efforts. Do you think there's still a realistic path to an agreement over the Strait of Hormuz at this point, or has the situation passed the point of no return?

Spot on, Cal. This escalation streak is getting way too high and it feels like one wrong move triggers a game over for stability.

Tense stuff here—seeing those attacks move beyond military targets is a real worry for everyone involved. Definitely feels like we're on a knife-edge right now. Who do you reckon holds the key to calming things down before it escalates further?
