Not a good time to be putting an extra tax on gas exports when we need more fuel supplies from other countries. Reservation of more gas for domestic use should be the priority going forward. Instead gas companies make massive profits from Australia being the second largest exporter of gas on earth. Sure, they pay billions in tax, but can avoid paying much more due to loopholes and the current tax system. Meanwhile, Australians pay high prices for an abundant resource and Australia has to import gas!! 😮

WTF some ABC videos allow comments and other don't......🤔
WHY AUNTY WHY???
@
Well labor have taxed us to the hilt and that is not enough so they are looking at other ways to spend other peoples money.
@
This tax will help pay some of the $368B for AUKUS, and the expensive disposal of old nuclear subs.
@
New contracts? Sure. Existing? We'd lose all extra profits breaking them, in addition to any goodwill.

Start with gas and then move onto all high revenue natural resources.

Tax the gas!
@
The Greens are willing to tax them, the independents are willing to tax them.

If the Tax companies wanted a contract change it would be immediate.

At the very least we could stop the fuel subsidies for the mining companies .

Labor has shown us clearly they represent corporate interests and Israel.

One Nation says a lot of things they didn’t vote for a 25% tax when given the opportunity.

The only way, , , THE ONLY WAY, a government agrees to give away a Multi Billion Dollar resource for FREE, is , CORRUPTION !!!

Both sides of politics have rejected any inquiry...

To all politicians, there will always be an excuse to not tax the gas industry. But there is never a good excuse and you represent the people. Do the right thing by the Nationand get the tax done. Were sick to death of excuses and we see through them all.
