Ignorance of the law doesn't cut it when it comes to breaking the law.
@
So sheโ€™s been here since 1973 and never decided to become a citizen
@
She knew what she was doing. Bye.
@
like Charlie Kirk said, Empathy is for Losers
@
I think itโ€™s interesting that itโ€™s a Trump voter
@
What struck me is that she believed it was Obama who made it possible for her to vote. Yet she voted for the most anti-Obama candidate one can imagine.
@
She voted for Trump so Iโ€™m happy as heck about this! She got exactly what she voted for.
@
Bye bye dummy. Way to own the libs. ๐Ÿคฃ
@
โ€œI will Vote for Donald Trump.โ€ ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽถ
@
So the illegal votes came from republicans not democrats ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ this is hilarious in so many ways
@
There aren't that many illegal votes by residents. The vast majority who gets caught are Trump voters. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

She voted for Trump. She got what she voted for. Sorry - no sympathy. I was very vocal in warning people that voting for The Orange Stain would not save them from deportation, and here we are.
@
Karma is b*. She voted for Trump to deport millions, and he kept his promise and deported her :D
@
Got what she voted for.
@
It feels really harsh because it is. Is the harshness needed to secure our borders? I don't believe so, but this is what she and a majority of others voted for in 2024.

My dad is a die hard conservative, Mexican immigrant, and voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020. He now lives in Mexico because as it turned out, he wasnโ€™t legal either. Itโ€™s funny except for is liberal son who cuts him a monthly check to avoid starving to death at the age of 74. You canโ€™t save Trump supporters because you canโ€™t fix stupid.
@
Oh boy, so she relied on something she learned from YouTube without verifying it, ignored the citizenship attestation on the voter registration form, somehow missed years of conservative warnings about noncitizen voting, and used what she believed was an Obama-granted right to vote for Trump.
Not exactly helping dispel the โ€œlow-information voterโ€ stereotype.
@
She got exactly what she voted for. Karma is a *itch . This is unbelievably FUNNY ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ. Have the day you voted for.
@
Who did she vote for again?
@
The irony is palpable

This is wild. I didnโ€™t realize that could actually happen by mistake. How does someone even "unknowingly" cast a vote if they aren't a citizen? Is there something on the registration form that makes it confusing, or do they just get tricked at the polls?

That Reuters data analysis really puts things into perspective compared to the headlines we usually see. It's wild how one mistake can lead to something as extreme as deportation. Do you think more people are unaware of the rules, or is this just a rare slip-up?
