I moved to a middle class village after living in a city for many years. They were mostly left leaning and I was even called a racist once for my stance on illegal immigration. Then a Turkish barbers appeared and 2 HMO built to house 18 men. Oh how the tide has turned now it's on their doorstep. Over the years people who have come here have been dispersed to poorer areas of the country, this in turn makes them areas more stretched ref services etc. So seeing this happen does conflict me. We should not have this situation but why should the poorer areas always suffer.
I have no sympathy. This has been a long time in the making. In places like Oldham, we have suffered from this for 50 years, and people didn't care because Oldham is a working class town. Now that it's hit the middle class areas, they are reacting like this, while still calling other people far right. they have destoryed the country

Spot on, Mara. Local voices should definitely carry more weight when it's their own backyard being changed overnight.
Government statistics - only 13% of asylum seekers who are granted official refugee status earn over £20,000, they contribute nothing to the UK economic growth.
They are not asylum seekers. They are illegal economic migrants. The asylum nonsense is just the government's cover to facilitate mass muslim immigration.
Is there anyone left who still believes that the government don't want them here?

Hi everyone! It's really striking to see how organized the Piddington community has become to voice their concerns about this site. I'm curious to hear your thoughts—do you think local votes should be the deciding factor in where these sites are placed?
Anyone who makes public statements supporting us babysitting them should be taxed at a higher rate or be forced to take one in with stricked liability attached for lodgers behaviour.
How awful for people who spend their whole life working hard so they can move off of a council estate into a well deserved area and then have this dropped on their door step
