Gordon brown, that’s the man who sold the country’s gold at the lowest possible price of $250 dollars an ounce! It’s now $4,000 per ounce 🤔 and this woman celebrates him!😮
Darren Jones is correct. The OBR said the money for the Digital ID policy is provisional & unfunded. Kezia Dugdale needs to get her facts straight. The Chancellor needs to find the money from the budget. However, Andy Burnham has promised a 6 month VAT cut on electric bills which is unfunded & not provisional.
I don't think I've ever seen a photo or video of Milliband where he didn't look a gormless nitwit, whether it's battling a bacon sandwich or just trying to rearrange a mouthful of marbles, it's pretty much guaranteed he will look foolish. If Britain can't take him seriously, how will the rest of the world?
However, he just scrapped the Digital Totalitaria Bill.
I'll bank that win.
Compare that to Starmer's opening move. To imprison thousands and have Tory's wives locked up for their Tweets.
Solar panels aren't a solution to my energy needs.
My energy bills are massive in winter. A time of the year when solar panels produce nothing.
$45. That's three weeks of food I can eat. I'll bank that too.
Starving sucks.
Unfortunately I expect my taxes to rise more than £45 to pay for it and starving still sucks.
More woolly minded thinking there from Ms Dugdale. I would slash 20% off the entire welfare bill … any senior lanyard wearer in Whitehall would have to explain why their job is absolutely necessary ( as well as what it actually is in plain English 😂)
They need to completely overhaul the energy market. Taking 5% VAT off domestic electricity is a sticking plaster. What about the huge cost of electricity to business and industry. Highest in the developed world. That is killing them and the driver of the cost of living crisis. Makes everything is expensive, food, goods, services. THAT is where we need drastic action.
William Hague always speaks fairly, wisely, and comes across neutral. I didn't like him all that much when he was an MP but I was wrong. I long for grown up like him to be back in number 10! 😬
They need to scrap marginal pricing for energy where the market-clearing price is set by the most expensive generator required to meet demand. No minister should ever have signed up to that. MPs being screwed over by industry once again
“It’s symbolic and values led”?! It’s costing nearly one billion pounds. She is insane. What about detailed plans and actually carefully spending, cutting where necessary. Not just ‘symbolic’ free stuff for everyone
It's all just smoke and mirrors! There is no money unless the Bank of England increases its frequency of key strikes to generate more. We know that will only make matters worse. There are no economic analyses and proposals. It's all dishonest politics and policies. We don't want lollipops! We want stable growth! Clear the smoke and tell the truth!
ITs typical labour tactics - thinking public is stupid to take a symbolic gesture after 2 years on helping those who need it the most - rubbish policies -
But it’s not “day one”! this is over 2 years now - labour can’t think a new PM means the public will listen! Public only listens once they elect a new PM via parliamentary parties.
