It’s so hard to find a silver lining when the loss feels this gutting, but I appreciate James trying to shift the perspective. I just wonder if the players are feeling as optimistic as he is right now? Such a tough way to go out.

It really was a tough one to swallow, Andrew. Some mornings just take a little longer to get over than others.

James - Most people have a little enjoyment in their lives instead of complaining about politics everyday. Maybe you should take up golf or something, add a little enjoyment in your otherwise bland existence.

I didnt watch a match all tournament, I'm welsh and prefer rugby, but after watching england get punched and kicked for 90+ minutes with out an argentina player getting a red, I kinda think something is fishy. Easily looked like argentina has preferential treatment from the ref. 11v12.

That said, all I have seen of England fans is calling for the resignation of their manager...because england played defensive while being punched in the head.

What a horrible way to lose. Sorry, England.

Seems it was the too talkative manager who messed up this time. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Football matters to other cultures so it’s only natural that it matters to us. Look at how much Barcelona meant to the oppressed people of Catalonia, or how beloved Maradona is in Napoli - an economically deprived part of Italy.
In the context of England - it’s perfectly normal to care, feel excited or disappointed - it’s something that has the power to lift the morale of a nation.
And I say all of this as only a casual football fan!

Yay it's over.....
