Stability is exactly what we need right now. I've seen enough chaos to last a lifetime. I truly hope he means it and can actually deliver on that promise for the sake of our grandchildren. We're all just looking for a bit of steady ground to stand on again.

Stable and responsible," is it? I'll believe it when I see it. We've had plenty of folk promising the earth from that doorstep and look where it's got us. Hope he's actually got a plan for the North this time instead of just more fancy words for the cameras.

Bla, bla, bla ...

Strong and Stable ey?
@
boooo booooooo 👎👎 and the crowd goes MILD!
@
With Labour's track record, expect the complete opposite 🙄
@
He is removing the uplift for capital gains tax.

Aisha R, I'm with you on that risk-to-reward ratio. Do you have a source for the actual insurance premium or replacement value?
@
Massive debt and massive interest rate payments are part of the socialist agenda! Socialism is the cause of austerity!
@
A large increase in defence spending is paramount because of the possible 2nd invasion of the Falkland Islands and intelligence reports of a Russian false flag attack on a N.A.T.O. country with Putin knowing that he is losing the war in Ukraine and may wish to use his nuclear force because his conventional force would be slaughtered in a conventional war with N.A.T.O. Yes the West would retaliate but Putin like most other world rulers have deep well stocked nuclear bunkers and Putin is an old man and unwell . Putin threatens the "possible" use of nuclear weapons almost every day the only hope for the world is that those around Putin prevent his insanity. Putin fully understands that his conventional forces are very poor and that fact is dangerous.

Angela. Rayner the tax doger shouldn't be the health secretary she sued the nhs
@
Imagine actually believing that this time it's going to be different 😂😂😂😂😂
@
Wolf in sheeps clothing. Just saying
@
If a PM resigns there should be a general election.
@
Who voted for him? No one
@
Garbage! How is this man allowed to be PM. NO ONE voted for that!

So basically he's repeating starmers words
@
Gonna carry on with two tier policing?
@
we don't want Burnham we don't want Labour, We want our country back and restored
@
Really? Is he living in a permanent fog
@
Well ...did we ever think we'd see a day when a government leader would have to ''Pledge stable and responsible politics?''
Is he admitting the last two years have been hell under Starmer? Or, asking for forgiveness from Manchester for leaving them with a £1.3 BILLION debt?
@
Stable?
Tax and spend does NOT stabilise anything Mr Burnham.
It does quite the opposite.
@
Ahhh, the fake pledge didn't work out for Amber heard either!!!!How thick does labour think we are. We want an election now.
@
Compare Nigel farage’s speech to this dribble..Nigel speaks from the heart and burnham from his notes prepared by someone else.!
@
This basically means nothing will change 😂. Burnham will deliver more of the same minor tinkering, devolution as a pressure valve, and appeals to “national renewal” that push class struggle aside in favour of “stability”. Meanwhile, workers are left dealing with stagnant wages, insecure jobs, a housing crisis, and crumbling public services how wonderful.

Impressive logistics, but I'm curious about the insurance valuation on this. Given the age and fragility, the risk-to-reward ratio for the transport must be wild. Does anyone have a source on the estimated replacement value or the cost of the security detail?

Talk about high drama! The football was intense enough, but that banner definitely adds a whole other layer of tension to the victory celebrations. It feels like a movie script. Do you think the politics should stay off the pitch, or is this just part of the rivalry?
@
Translation “Dear Markets, I’m about to go on a spending-spree. Please don’t defund me”
@
Putting tax cheat Rayner as health minister. A person who sued the NHS. Is that what stable and responsible means?
@
@str1xt From YouTube ↗ 19 Jul 2026 4
He has not been voted in.
He has NO mandate.
Fake Prime Minister.
General Election now!
@
Being stable and responsible WITHOUT a mandate 🤦🏻♂️
@
“Pledge” = wishful thinking
@
He has just brought Hate not Hope Into the government. They had to delete all of their social media posts. I wonder why?
@
He didn't do any good here in Manchester. He wont do anything when he given the job of prime minister that we never voted for. Its a clown show.
@
Whilst leaving Greater Manchester £1.3 billion in debt. And we're talking stability?
