Wildfires are raging in Europe as 87,000 forced to evacuate. Spain has declared a national emergency and, in France, two fires threaten a major tourist hotspot.
The energy of these students is incredible. It reminds me of how youth-led movements often start with a specific grievance but end up exposing much deeper systemic cracks. I wonder if this will actually force a policy shift or if it'll just be another moment of protest that gets ignored by the ministry?

It’s heartbreaking to think about those 87,000 people having to leave their homes behind so suddenly. I really hope everyone got out safely, but I can't imagine the stress for the families and business owners in those tourist areas. Truly devastating.

Heartbreaking to see those tourist spots under threat—total game over for so many folks having to evacuate. Hope everyone gets out safely and things stabilize soon. Do any of you have family or friends in those areas right now?
