The Falkland islands have belonged to the UK before Argentina was even a country after they were discovered by the British. They have always been sovereign to the UK ever since 1765. We fought and won a war which they initiated and then they surrendered, which re-affirmed our sovereignty over the islands. The falklands are, have always been, and will always be British. Argentina has no legitimate claim and they need to move on already. The islanders themselves should have the final say, and 99.8% of them voted in 2013 to remain British, which is the most conclusive election result in history and must be respected.
