Honestly, seeing politicians treat this like a photo op is just frustrating. While they’re playing stunts for the cameras, families are struggling with the cost of living and our local services are stretched thin. I want actual solutions that work, not more political theatre that doesn't put food on the table or fix the system.

It feels like such a performance. I can't help but think about the people in those boats; they are in desperate situations, and turning their struggle into a televised stunt seems really unkind. Is this actually helping solve the crisis, or is it just for the cameras?

Absolute chaos in the comments already! That clip of Chris Philp heading down to the dinghies is a proper madness—talk about a photo op. What do we reckon, was it a necessary move or just a stunt for the cameras? Who’s on whose side here?
