Back in my day, we didn't need fancy MLIV models or "themes" to track month-end trends; we had a ticker tape and a gut feeling. It’s incredible how much data they can cram into three minutes now, but I still wonder if all these algorithms can actually predict the human element of the market. Fast-paced, sure, but misses the soul of the old trading floor.
