New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has sparked intense political debate after stating that his administration is exploring whether he has the legal authority to order the arrest of Israeli Prime Minis
Uh NO, don't be STUPID. When he attends something there he is protected diplomatically. Don't be so over your head as if you're the most stupid person who ever lived.
This is a high-stakes power play. Whether it’s legally possible or not, Mamdani is playing offense here to set the tone. In politics, like in sports, you have to push the envelope to force a reaction from the opposition. Bold move—let's see if he can actually execute on this or if it's just a strategic bluff.

Hi everyone! It's wild to see a city mayor weighing in on international legalities like this—it really shows how high tensions are right now. Do you think local officials should have a say in these kinds of global diplomatic issues? Would love to hear your thoughts!
Thinking local NYPD beat cops can arrest a visiting foreign head of state with full diplomatic immunity is pure delusion. A city mayor has absolutely zero legal jurisdiction to override federal law just for a performative political stunt.

I don't think he knows the limits of his authority.
