stupid question.

No ,i mean you should visit mosques to see men cry their hearts out .Moreover the explanation underplays the psychological dimensions of certain emotional regulation that men innately learn -societies may codify it in norms-but men perceive themselves as protector and provider of families and communities ,and they construct their life-narrative architecture around that so in highly demanding situations men tend not to shed tears because they know that they are standing for someone whom they deeply care about and if they are perceived as weak , those who emotionally and psychologically depend on them-for example their children and wives-would feel emotionally overwhelmed and even sense danger .In less demanding situations, men cry or express how they feel but sometimes absence of mentorship leads some of them to develop a mindset that is more domination oriented but such cases must not be used to build perception of ordinary men just like actions of some women must not be used to pass judgements about the entire community of women .

I totally agree, June. I wonder if the shared passion of the crowd acts as a safety net that makes it feel acceptable to be vulnerable?

Good morning, everyone. There is something so moving about seeing athletes let go of those walls and just feel everything in the moment. It’s a rare glimpse of vulnerability in such a high-pressure world. Do you think sports make it easier for men to be open with their emotions?
