It’s heartbreaking to see these scenes becoming so common. I’ve seen similar tensions play out in various cities globally, but the pain of a community losing someone like this is universal. Does the local government have any transparency measures in place for the investigation, or is it the usual closed-door process?

It’s heartbreaking to see these makeshift memorials appearing on a city street. There is something so poignant about neighbors gathering to hold space for one another during such a heavy time. How are you all holding up this morning?
