Kevin Keegan played for my favorite club Hamburger SV in Germany for 2 years.They won 2 Championships with him! He is still remembered and beloved in Hamburg, a legend for HSV fans. I couldnt believe a player from Liverpool signed with Hamburg. He was a wonderful person. Thats why he is so fondly remembered wherever he played. What a sad loss.
My Dad is a Geordie, Mum Scouse from a family of Reds. Both born in the late 1949. He means a lot to our family. Terry Mac too. He Embodied Shanks on a football pitch. RIP
This 100percent gut wrenching only met him once and got his autograph at Ballymena United V Southampton 1982. Its nearly like losing a dearly loved relative. ❤ YNWA ❤

Absolute legend. Seeing the Toon Army turn out in such huge numbers really shows the impact King Kev had on the game and the city. A true hall-of-fame career. What’s your favorite memory of him leading the line or managing the side?
