Sam seems unbothered by the societal impact of making truth and fiction virtually indistinguishable. If we can’t agree on what’s real, we can’t function as a society. When AI can generate convincing lies at scale and those responsible show no concern, we should all be alarmed.
It’s crazy how what Sam’s describing here sounds exactly like one of the early “cascades” in 12 Codes of Collapse. The whole idea of racing toward superintelligence without clear answers… feels like we’re living the first chapter already.
