Where can we access this unredacted report?

Food shortages eh? Yet the Labour government wants to confiscate farmers' land from them, and/or convert it to solar farms. They're just brilliant, aren't they.
@
Well they could stop the water companies from dumping untreated waste into rivers and make them do their damn job before paying shareholders. That would help the environment no end.

I fear the establishment far more than I fear Russia 😎

We’ve no idea what the worst case scenario is

China, India and Pakistan, 3 major food producers, populations and nuclear armed powers.

A serious threat of mass migration.

Elsewhere, the British Insurance industry did a report on the global impacts of 2 and 3 degrees Celsius of warming.

Their findings:

2 degrees Celsius will result in 2 Billion deaths worldwide.

3 degrees Celsius will result in 4 Billion deaths world wide.

That is industry, not climate scientists, not campaigners, not activists or 'scaremongerers', the British Insurance industry.

Those findings were relegated to Appendix A of the report.

A number of climate scientists have warned the loss of water, food, mass migration, conflict, the collapse in international trade will mean the world at 4 Celsius will support no more than 800 Million people.

These shocking results are being triangulated from various directions outside climate science.

The Pentagon years ago referred to climate change as a 'threat multiplier ' .

There can be no new oil and gas licences, no further planning for expansion of existing fields. There must be full divestment from fossil fuels .

90% of pension fund investment into fossil fuels goes to new oil and gas fields. If it is not

We're not going to do anything. Our governments are captured by corporate interests, short term profits and CEO bonuses are everything - the general population is disposable.
@
The Government won't do anything because protecting the environment conflicts with the interests with their corporate donors. They'd rather risk our national security than upset the wealthy.
@
I was taught in school in 1983(uk) that gas had 30 years left at most in the world. Everything around fuel and water seems to involve fear and blame. Logic seems to have vanished

Well done for this video and locating the unredacted report. Please could you provide a link to the unredacted one. The one on the UK government website is the redacted one. ** Can anyone provide a link to the full report please **

Christ, this is absolutely terrifying - and if it doesn't scare you, then you haven't understood the very real implications of this...

It's "growth" that's the problem! Growth is the financialisation of natural resources. How stupid is it that environmental destruction and bemoaning it's effect on "Grooooowth" are used in the same sentence, when they're the same damn thing? Nothing has been done about human caused biosphere collapse because we are run by an economic cult determined to keep their privledged lifestyle and we are conditioned hundreds of times a day about the "Grooooowth" imperative, just like this "news" piece!

but doesnt point out the loss of kelp forest around uk raises extpeme temps.
every1 talks about global issues while avoiding those on our doorstep to make people think its not our problem

Maybe stop building houses where we grow our food
@
Growth and 'productivity' are why we are in the situation in the first place.

Diabolical.

It is over 30 years since a new reservoir went through planning. That is privatisation for you.

Increases in population and contracted and more intense rainfall means we are likely capturing less water and having to release extra storage to prevent oferspill.

Water is a fundamental need for all sectors.

Water needs to be nationalised and increased capacity commissioned.

There can be no new data centres, apparently the UK is expected to build dozens of them, keep an eye out on your local press planning pages and on your council website.

Data centres are causing havoc with pollution, water shortages and water price rises in the US.

The government lectures us on climate security whilst pursuing unnecessary economic growth and destructive land use. They can’t have both.

I've heard this for 30 years, now is the time to act? 40 years ago was the time to act. politicians as done nothing for greed.
