First week is all well and good, but let's see how he actually handles the oil prices before we call it a success. Talk is cheap; results are what matter for those of us paying the bills.

It’s all well and good for the advisers to be happy with the optics, but I wonder when that "success" actually hits the high street. The oil prices are the real worry for those of us filling up the car every Monday morning. Hope he's got a plan for the cost of living that goes beyond the first-week honeymoon period.

Hi everyone! It's interesting to hear Baroness Morgan mention how happy No 10 advisers must be feeling right now despite those looming oil price issues. Do you think this early momentum is sustainable, or is the honeymoon period already over?
